A paw print pressed into soft clay, fired, and glazed lasts effectively forever. We will run short paw print sessions at Boulder Pottery Studio for people in Boulder who want a real ceramic keepsake rather than the air-dry kits sold in stores, which crumble within a few years.
The session itself is quick. We roll a slab, take the impression, clean up the edges, and you choose a glaze. Most pets tolerate it fine, and calm ones do best. If bringing your pet in is not workable, we can talk you through taking a clean impression at home.
Fired stoneware, food-safe glaze, and a hole for hanging if you want one. Turnaround is a few weeks because of the two firings.
